Create a new file with 1024×768 px and 72 dpi and paint it in black color, the way it is shown below:

Select now this instrument
and try to outline a penguin?s arm.

Fill 0% on the layers
Blending Options-Stroke

Gradient?s parameters:

and outline the right arm of the penguin.

Fill 0% on the layers.
Blending Options-Gradient Overlay

Gradient?s parameters:

Selecting the previous instrument, it?s possible to continue representing the penguin?s arm.

Fill 0% on the layers.
Blending Options-Stroke

Gradient?s parameters:

Take the same instrument, used before
and insert the other necessary elements on the left arm.

Blending Options-Gradient Overlay
Gradient?s parameters:

Make use of the next tool now
to draw the body?s silhouette of the animal.

Blending Options-Stroke

Continue using the same instrument to represent the other parts of the body.

Fill 0% on the layers.
Blending Options-Inner Glow

Blending Options-Gradient Overlay

Take the already known tool
and create the next layer.

Fill 0% on the layers.
Blending Options-Gradient Overlay

Gradient?s parameters:

will be helpful in outlining the left foot of the penguin.

Fill 0% on the layers.
Blending Options-Gradient Overlay

Gradient?s parameters:

Blending Options-Stroke

Take now the next two instruments
,
and represent the contours of the left penguin?s foot (the inside color should be black).

Blending Options-Stroke

Gradient’s parameters:

now to draw the inside part of the foot.

Fill 0% on the layers and set the Opacity on 80%.
Blending Options-Gradient Overlay

Gradient?s parameters:

Make use of the previous instrument to represent a flare on the upper part of the foot.

Fill 0% on the layers.
Blending Options-Gradient Overlay

Gradient?s parameters:

Take the following instrument
and represent a flare on the lower part of the arm.

Blending Options-Gradient Overlay

Gradient?s parameters:

For your convenience now we should merge down in a group all the layers composing the penguin?s foot.
Make a copy of this group then and apply Free Transform selection to turn around the group on 180 degrees vertically.

Now we have to put together in a group both groups of the feet.
Make a copy of the new one and use again the Free Transform selection to turn it around and compress it also vertically.

Select after the last operation a brush having blurred edges and grey color and apply it to create on the picture the effect of flatness.

and
to represent a flare on the penguin?s body.

Fill 0% on the layers.
Blending Options-Gradient Overlay

Gradient?s parameters:

Choose the instrument from here
to draw now a element of the glasses to be. It should have the color 797979.

The same instrument will be helpful in representing the next element of the glasses, this time situated on the right side.

Fill 0% on the layers.
Blending Options-Gradient Overlay

Gradient?s parameters:

Gradient?s parameters:

Make a copy now of the new represented layer and apply again the usual option, Free Transform, to turn the copy around on 180 degrees. We?ll make the changes also on its parameters:

Fill 0% on the layers.
Blending Options-Gradient Overlay

Gradient?s parameters:

and
to represent the contour of the right glass (the inside color should be black).

Blending Options-Stroke

Gradient?s parameters:

Make a copy of the new made layer and use the same Free Transform option to turn around the drawing on 180 degrees.

and draw a flare on the middle of the right glass.

Fill 0% on the layers.
Blending Options-Gradient Overlay

Gradient?s parameters:

Apply the same instrument to draw the next flare, this time on the left glass.

Fill 0% on the layers.
Blending Options-Gradient Overlay

Gradient?s parameters:

Make a copy of the primary layer of the right glass and use the next instrument
to erase the unnecessary tops situated on the bottom.
The next tool
will be helpful in making the corrections on its shape.
Free Transform option gives the possibility to minimize and change the parameters the way it is necessary.

Blending Options-Gradient Overlay
Gradient?s parameters:

Make a copy of this new made layer and make use again of the Free Transform option to turn the copy around.
Apply the instrument shown here
to correct the shapes and change the parameters.

Blending Options-Gradient Overlay

to draw the penguin?s beak.

Blending Options-Gradient Overlay

Gradient?s parameters:

Choose the last instrument to draw a flare on the beak. This time it should have the white color. The Opacity on the layers should be of 70%.
